Melbourne Dining also known as fine dining is described as unique, sophisticated and has a rich yet comfortable atmosphere that changes one's dining experience and brings it to a whole new level.
The aim of this particular project was to create a multi functional space that allows each area to have several purposes while achieving a dark and moody yet comfortable and intimate atmosphere.

The space has been designed in a way that allows for the restaurant to cater to events or separate dinners. The finishes used are meant to create a moody space that would create an intimate atmosphere where people can connect and enjoy their food and company. This has been implemented by incorporating black finishes with different textures such as black vinyl herringbone flooring which would add character and minimize the travel of acoustics throughout the space. Vinyl wall paper with streaks of gold has been applied to the walls to add depth and the ceiling has been painted dark grey. Rust velvet chairs have been placed to add a pop of colour and create a sense of playfulness.
The bar area is more of a private space that has a few additional finishes such as the gold veined benchtop that ties in with the brass accents such as the brass shelves. A mirror splashback has been applied to create a sense of spaciousness and dark half round steccawood has been wrapped around the bar to add depth and texture.

The private dining area has been designed to allow people to have small group meetings and gatherings. It is separated from the rest of the spaces with timber battens to create a sense of privacy without making people feel closed off from the rest of the area.
